What’s this we hear about one of the Kapuso network’s crown jewels, GMA leading lady Marian Rivera, “bullying” a co-star in their current soap, best paying truck driving jobs the Filipino remake of popular Koreanovela “Endless Love“?
Marian Rivera “bullying” a young actress?
Well, it’s not as if there is not enough precedence in this. We all heard of Marian’s temper before. With her status as the network’s undisputed leading female star, it might be quite easy to grow a bit of an attitude problem. After news of her allegedly making sulot GMA’s hot property leading man Dingdong Dantes from erstwhile girlfriend Karylle, cost of truck driving school a video of her berating someone flooded the net traffic. Remember this one?
Yeah, if you didn’t know already, this gal has a mouth on her. Her local and meager upbringing means that she is not averse to taking the fight to someone, especially is she feels offended.
Enter Bella Padilla. This girl, whose uncle is action star Robin Padilla, plays Dingdong’s “other” love interest in the aforementioned series. It would seem that their intimate scenes together is causing fits of jealousy for Marian, enough for her to start bullying said young actress, if allegations from Bella’s manager Claire dela Fuente is to be believed.
According to Claire in some interviews, Bela had been subject to insults and indirect “parinigs” from GMA’s prized female star. Marian had been approaching Bela a number of times, all the while berating her. Some of the quoted insults are just downright shocking: “Ang pangit-pangit mo! Ang bobo-bobo mo umarte! Hindi kita ka-level, huwag mo akong babatiin!” and “Sa tingin mo papatulan ka ni Dingdong? Kahit kailan hindi ka papatulan ni Dingdong!”
While I’m not really a big fan of any of them, this would have to strike any sane and proper person as uncalled for and improper. But such is the status of Marian Rivera that if true, she arrogantly thinks she could do this and not be in trouble.
Well, she’s wrong. As of writing, Bela Padilla’s camp is heavily contemplating charges against the network’s top artist, it would seem. There has even been talk of Bella acquiring some bodyguards. What a circus.
But far be it from us to suggest that this might be a stunt to rake in the ratings for their show, oh no. That is not the status of ABS-CBN and GMA, to create media stunts as this to rack up publicity, right?
This is all in the name of good clean fun, of course.
