Ai-ai de las Alas and the rest of the cast of the movie Ang Cute ng Ina Mo! couldn’t be happier these days. And why not? Their movie tops box office as its gross roughly about 30 million on its opening last Saturday. The movie is such a riot and funny, claimed those people who already watched the movie.
May exaggerated moves and gags that are out of this world!
Directed by Wenn Deramas, Ang Cute ng Ina Mo! is a joint project of Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment. Aside from Ai-ai, the wacky cast includes Luis Manzano, Anne Curtis, Eugene Domingo and John Lapuz.
If you want to have fun and enjoy, catch the movie in more than 100 theaters nationwide.
TOGETHER AGAIN
Piolo Pascual and Regine Velasquez first worked together in an episode of Maalala Mo Kaya in ABS CBN years ago. The tandem clicked and caught the attention of the big bosses of the two giant film outfit, Star Cinema and Viva Films which now produces the soon to be release movie of Piolo and Regine, entitled Sana Ikaw Na.
Movie watchers should anticipate this movie as Regine admits, that she did so many firsts in this movie.
Kaso, the scene has to be done.
Piolo as well is very excited, “Lalo kong in-admire si Regine [sa eksenang yun] dahil hindi niya lang nililimitahan ang sarili niya,”he said.
JOLINA AND BEBONG RETREATS IN ANTIPOLO
Last holy week, when most celebrities went to boracay and other resorts to spend their vacation, Jolina Magdangal and boyfriend Bebong Munoz spent their holy week in a retreat house in Antipolo.
Jolina also shrugs rumors that her father is upset that she didn’t join the family in their holy week celebration in their Antipolo resthouse.
Jolina is now back hosting her daily show Unang Hirit and SOP on Sunday both on GMA while Bebong is busy with his campaign. He is running as a Congressman in Caloocan.
MISS SAIGON IN MELBOURNE
The long-running musical of Cameron Mckintosh’s Miss Saigon opens in Melbourne with great reviews. The australian opening is a hit among Aussies. Filipino theater actor Leo Valdez, reprises his role as the The Engineer. In a letter, Leo exclaimes, ” We are all over the papers and magazines”, he continues,” we even have a “Miss Saigon tram’ (small coaches on rail) going around Melbourne, with my picture as The Engineer on the side, beamin bigger than ever”.
Other Filipino casts includes Laurie Cadevida, (the only sister of singer Kris Lawrence) playing Kim, RJ Rosales as Thuy and Australia-based Jenifer Trijo as Kim alternate.
Surely, the Filipino talent continues to make us all proud as what Lea Salonga did when she first did Miss Saigon in the 90’s.
Congratulations Leo and the whole cast of Miss Saigon-Melbourne!
